Poetry:
Solitude
I've curled up behind my eyes
Enveloped in darkening black skies
A chill attacks my hidden heart
Because I've found my only friend
The loneliness of solitude apart
I see them in the corners of my eyes
But struggle with gasping cries
I sink beneath the stone I lay upon
Drowning in the end
Breathing for solitude all along
Drifting by, the clouds clear from my eyes
The Rose has wilted empty with lies
Bleak oil drips off pedals into my soul
I'm just a ghost passing through
In the cold solitude so full
And it's reality that kills me
Lost in my dreams of forlorn
Only time can write this wrong
Alone and here is where I belong
Breathing for solitude all along
